    Suggestion Box

Why Place This Artwork in the Creative Commons?

It has been a curious experience, deciding to license these image under the Creative Commons... I have for some years kept the high-resolution files held close, as something precious. And they are. But the world has changed. Communication is entirely different now, faster, wider reaching. And I really did not want to limit these images to a few collectors.

At the same time, while preparing these files for download, I experienced a sense of loss. They are not my personal possession anymore. They defined me somehow. So I come face to face with the unknown. I hope you understand what I mean.

It is true, that from today on I embark on a journey to where I do not know. I hope to the ends of the earth, and to new friends. And to stronger connections with old friends, and to an interesting life.

I hope you do something unique and good with these images. I hope you make them your own. I would like you share your stories and pictures with me, just send them to me using the email address you see at the top of this page.

I will write more about ways you can use these digital files, provide suggestions about getting them printed and answer questions or respond to ideas that you have.
